I feel like Mother Nature is playing tricks on me. She gives me a few days of beautiful weather, fills me with hope of spring, and then spews cold and snow on my delusions of happier times. It’s unfair. Yesterday it was 18°C. We went and spontaneously bought a spectacular new BBQ. I bought 2 varieties of onion bulbs to plant today. But that’s not going to happen because today it’s 1°C and snowflakes are falling. No onion planting. No BBQing. No spring.
This afternoon, I successfully assembled the new ”Coleman Even-Heat 3-Burner Natural Gas BBQ” all by myself while Love Muffin re-gripped his golf clubs in preparation for his annual imaginary PGA tour of Lambton County. It’s a real beauty. It has a burger capacity of 28 AND a side burner! My grillmaster status is going to be untouchable this summer, I know it. I can see a lot of get togethers in my future. Everyone can come over and eat my BBQing and stare in awe at the corn crop I intend to grow in my garden this year. I’m getting restless waiting. When I get restless waiting, I usually try growing vegetables inside the house only to kill them 3 times over before they can even be planted outside. I vowed not to do that this year. Come on nice weather!
