Smart Canucks is where I learned everything I know about coupons, saving money, and shopping savvy! It’s a well established community of brilliant Canadians who have been joining forces to be the smartest shoppers they can be since 2006. A lot of people have devoted endless hours to both contributing deals and searching for them. It’s an addiction.  My favourite addiction. Unlike drugs and alcohol,  coupon shopping is very unlikely to land you a scabby meth face, STD, or a night in the slammer staring into a stainless steel pisser while some cop watches you like an episode of Candid Camera.

Well, now there’s another deals, flyers, coupons site in town: Flyerscoupons.ca!!!!

Flyerscoupons.ca is a sister site of Smart Canucks. Upon inspection, it’s a BRAND NEW Smart Canucks. Cleaner and simpler. New and improved. CHECK IT OUT AND REGISTER TODAY!

My personal opinion:

• The forums are refined and better organized
• There are much better incentives for contributors (AdSense revenues anyone?)
• Searching by retailer in MUCH, MUCH more efficient and convenient
• Alex has taken the very best of Smart Canucks, added a pile of new ideas and features, and wrapped them up in a brand new, fresh start package
• This is probably going to be the best deals, flyers, and coupons site in Canada

Here’s why I find it bittersweet: I want both sites to be über successful but am I predicting divorce of sorts!  There’s too much going on. So many deals, so many great sites, so little time. I, like thousands of others, LOVE Smart Canucks, but I think eventually most people from Smart Canucks are going to migrate to Flyerscoupons for the better features and easier searching.  Same family, new house. Either that, or everyone will get a hard-on for the novelty of Flyerscoupons and then eventually go back to Smart Canucks and forget about it.
